Christie's auctioneers in London was the prestigious venue for our most recent book launch this week.  Ann Allestree has just published her second book with Book Guild, Louis Phillipe D'Orleans, King of the French 1773 to 1850, and chose Christies as the perfect place to celebrate.

A large crowd filled the famous auction house, including French aristocracy in the person of the Duc de Vendome.

Over a hundred guests thronged to support Ann, forming a queue at all times to buy the book, which is the life-story of one of Europe's lesser known but more colourful monarchs.
